How is the sales commission calculated?
We track sales to individual wholesale customers through our website and customer database. When a wholesale customer buys any Wine Shield product, they are required to nominate how they heard of the product. When the wholesale customer nominates an agent, a list of all agents registered with us is displayed for them to select from. Alternatively they can search by company name or the name of the individual representative registered with us. At sale, 10% of the value of the sale is set-aside for the referring agent as a commission payment. Commissions and bonuses are tallied up for payment and detailed in our Incentive Program report which is emailed to your nominated address at the end of each month.
How are the sales bonuses calculated?
Wine Shield Canada wants to encourage agents to introduce Wine Shield to customers and reward those who do so successfully. Every month, participating agents will be emailed an Incentive Program report detailing how their sales figures compare with other participating agents. Other agents’ identities will be anonymous on the report, and your identity will not be known to others. Agents’ sales figures will be ranked across Canada and within each province. Weighted Sales Bonuses will be paid to the top 20% of participating agents in each province, and the overall leader in Canada. The Sales Bonus monies will equate to 1% of the total sales attributable to agents across the country that month. Weightings will take into account total sales by province. The top 4% of agents will be paid 80% of bonus monies.
How is the sales commission and bonuses paid?
Wine Shield Canada prefers to use direct deposit through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) using VersaPay's secure online EFT platform. You provide VersaPay with your routing information, stored in their PCI/SAS 70 Certified Data Center (Wine Shield Canada do not store your information) and simply click to accept the deposit.
Payment is sent instantaneously!
Should participating agent's elect to be paid by check, a check administration charge of $10.25 will be deducted from the commission payment.
Can Wine Shield Canada pay sales commission to individuals, as opposed to companies?
No. Wine Shield Canada will only make commission payments to business entities that hold an HST number.
What if my organisation has multiple sales representatives and we want to track sales attributable to individual reps?
Agents may choose to register individual representatives with the Incentive Program, and the Incentive Program report sent every month will detail the sales performance of each individual representative. Agents should be mindful that it is up to the purchasing customer to correctly nominate the individual sales representative within the company.
Can I buy Wine Shield Products using my 20% discount and simply re-sell them to my customers during my visits - say for example, if they run out?
No. Never under any circumstances. There is nothing preventing agents from giving samples away, however re-selling is strictly prohibited under the Terms and Conditions of Sale. Breaches will result in civil legal action. Quantities purchased by agents will be carefully monitored each month to detect possible breaches or abuse.
How does the $75 referral bonus work?
Wine Shield Canada will pay the referring agent a $75 referral bonus after the referred agent records their first sale to a new customer. Wine Shield Canada wants as many agents as possible to be involved in our Incentive Program, introducing new customers to the benefits of Wine Shield. After you sign up, you will have an opportunity to refer your colleagues and peers. You should be mindful that they must nominate you as having introduced them WHEN THEY SIGN UP, because referral bonuses will not be paid or assessed retrospectively. There is no limit to the amount of referral bonuses that can be payable to a referring agent, however once that company/business is referred, they cannot be referred a second time by you or any other agent. The referred agent is the company/business, not the individual sales representative. For the referring agents to receive the referral bonus, the referred agent must record a sale from a customer who is new to Wine Shield, not just an existing customer.
